Club History
Back in 1994, Owners Jerry and Annette William started AJ Gamebirds as a small hunting club. AJ Gamebirds originally only offered Pheasant hunting. Ten manual clay target traps and one automatic rabbit machine. AJ Gamebird also offered the only popular pyramid game. Jerry and Annette sold AJ Gamebirds in 1999 and later and later acquired it back in 2003. Within this time Jerry and Annette William continued to manage the gun club, after it was purchased by a New York family. Due to a member of the New York family falling ill, Jerry and Annette became owners of the gun club once again.
With the new moniker Quail Run Sports, the gun club began to grow bigger than it had ever been. Bosting three prime upland hunting fields and more than 22 sporting clay stations, several 3-D archery targets, skeet and trap fields and a handgun range. Quail Run has become one of the most popular sporting clay and hunting ranges in Colorado. Quail Run has hosted numerous Colorado State shoots, benefits, corporate events and have become a huge contributor to the Colorado 4-H Clubs. With the hope of many more years to come, Jerry and Annette wish to keep the gun club in the family for generations to come.
